Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1/4 cup celery stalks chopped
- 2 1/4 cups tomato juice
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/4 cup medium barley
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, cook beef, onion and celery untilmeat is no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in tomato juice, water, barley, chilipowder, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 50-60 minutes or until barley is tender.
- Serve hot.
