Ingredients
- For Dough
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour Maida
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup Water (as required , can be more or less)
- 1 Big Onion Chopped
- For filling
- 100 Gram carrots Grated
- 100 Gram cabbage Grated
- 100 Gram Capsicum Chopped
- 1 Big Onion Grated
- 5-6 Pieces garlic Grated
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 Tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tsp vinegar
- 1/2 Tbsp Oil

For dough
- First of all, take refined flour in a big bowl.
- Add salt and water not at one stretch but slowly and knead the dough till it becomes soft like poori.
- Keep the dough aside for an hour.
For filling
- In a pan add oil and heat it.
- Add grated garlic and sauté it well for few seconds.
- Add chopped and grated onions it and sauté for few minutes.
- Add grated carrot and cabbage and sauté well for few minutes again.
- Than add chopped capsicum, black pepper and salt and sauté it well again for few more minutes as shown in pic.
- Now switch off the stove and ensure this is cooled down to room temperature.
- Once slightly cooked, add soya sauce and vinegar to it and sauté well again for few seconds.
- Filling is ready
Veg Momos
- Take the dough in size of a lemon and make into small roti styles. (you may want to use oil or dry Maida to ensure it is laid well)
- Hold the small roti style in your palm, add the filling into the left side and turn the it towards right side.
- Lock it bt adding slight water.
- Use a folk to give a design on the sides.
- Now place these in the steamer (can use idli stand as well). Apply light oil before placing so that it doesn't stick.
- Steam it for 10-15,minutes
- Keep checking if it has been cooked well
- Once done remove it from the steamer
- Serve it with tomato ketchup.
