  1. First of all wash the dal properly.
  2. Now add dal ,3 cup water ,salt ,turmeric and let it gets 3 whistle.
  3. Take a pan.
  4. Now add some ghee to it.
  5. Then add bay leaf ,thick cardamon ,cinnamon ,asafoetide ,dry chilly saute for 1 min.
  6. Add garlic and saute until it becomes light brown.
  7. Add onion ,ginger ,green chilly saute it until it becomes light brown.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes.
  9. Add all spices saute it so that the tomato gets soft.
  10. Add chopped spinach saute it then add some water and then cover it and saute for some time.
  11. When the spinach get sauted then add boiled channa dal and heat at low flame for some time.
  12. Dal mixed properly .
  13. Spinach channa dal is ready serve it with naan ,rice and chapati.
