Ingredients
- For karhi
- 500 g Curd
- 1/2 bowl Gram flour besan
- 1 tsp Astoefida
- 2 Dry red chillies
- 3 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Kasuri methi
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- For tadka
- 1 Onion sliced
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 Potatoes sliced
- 2 tsp Fenugreek seeds methe
- 2 tsp Coriander seeds dhania
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds jeera
- 1 tsp Carom seeds ajwain
- 1 tsp Salt to taste
- For pakoras
- 2 Onions big, chopped
- 15 leaves Spinach
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 1 pinch baking soda
- 1/4 Red chilli powder
- 5 cups Oil for frying
- For rice
- 1 glass rice
- 1/4 tsp Salt

- Take a big pan ,make lassi of curd by adding water(the curd should be a bit sour which will give karhi sour flavour, otherwise take lassi).add gram flour and blend it now add hing,red chilly sabut ,salt,turmeric powder,keep it on gas ,after one boil place it on sim.simmer the karhi on low flame for 45 minutes.
For tadka
- Take 1 tsp oil in pan ,add methe, Gingergarlic paste,saute it,add dhania seeds,cumin seeds,onions,saute them,add potatoes and fry tgem for 5 minutes,now add ajwain, curry leaves and put this tadka to karhi kept on gas.
- Let it simmer
For pakoras
- In a bowl take onions,add washed chopped spinach,besan, baking soda,salt,red chille powder, water and make batter out of it ,also add coriander leaves.
- Now make pakoras from these batter by deep frying in oil,till golden brown
- Add these pakoras in karhi and garnish it with coriander leaves and kasuri methi and garam masala.karhi is ready to serve
For rice
- Soak rice for 30 minutes in water ,now boil it in water by adding salt, once the rice are cooked,pour it in seive to throw extra water.now serve karhi pakoras with rice
