Instructions
Arbi
- Cut arbi into pieces
- Add little salt to it and wash
- Strain the excess water
- Now fry it till it becomes soft
- Remove it in a big strainer to remove the excess oil..
- Take a wok and add oil, throw in the carrom seeds,Salt, turmeric and chilly powder saute for a minute
- Add the fried Arbi to it..Cook it for 5 mins so that it mixes well with the spices..
Malangi
- Boil mangoes in a pan till they get soft
- Remove them and run them under cold water for a while and keep them aside
- Take water in a jug and add sugar or jaggery( if u are health conscious go for jaggery..by the way both taste good)
- Dissolve it nicely, now peel the mangoes and mash them in it,the juice and pulp of mangoes makes this water a little thicker than before..(if you are finding the drink thick you can add more water to it)
- Mix it well and keep it in the fridge for an hour at least.
- Serve it as it is or you can also add a little salt, garam masala and roasted cumin powder to it
- Enjoy your arbiand malangi with hot rotis..
Recipe Notes
Ps- malangi can be eaten alone also it is best drink for summers..as it is very cooling..you can also serve it as a welcome drink!!
