Ingredients
- 1 cup Channa Dal
- 3 Onion chopped
- 1 small piece Ginger chopped
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 8-10 garlic chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 thick cardamon
- 1 small piece Cinnamon
- 1 pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Dry red chillies
- 3 tbsp desi ghee

Instructions
- First of all wash the dal properly.
- Now add dal ,3 cup water ,salt ,turmeric and let it gets 3 whistle.
- Take a pan.
- Now add some ghee to it.
- Then add bay leaf ,thick cardamon ,cinnamon ,asafoetide ,dry chilly saute for 1 min.
- Add garlic and saute until it becomes light brown.
- Add onion ,ginger ,green chilly saute it until it becomes light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes.
- Add all spices saute it so that the tomato gets soft.
- Add chopped spinach saute it then add some water and then cover it and saute for some time.
- When the spinach get sauted then add boiled channa dal and heat at low flame for some time.
- Dal mixed properly .
- Spinach channa dal is ready serve it with naan ,rice and chapati.
